The #ADC is a complex event, where students from four Spanish universities compete against each other, creating a code of a self-driving #CupraFormentor car. The car navigates through the 12x12m track, respecting signals, recognizing obstacles, park and even overtaking a moving car. The track was inspired by the marvellous streets of Barcelona, including some of Barcelona’s highlights, such as the Sagrada Familia temple and #CASASEAT. For the set-up, we needed around five days and we are grateful to our suppliers for the great job they made!
For the event execution, we elaborated a very dynamic agenda, including not only the competition between the students but also inviting 11 renowned speakers on our stage (CARNET, SEAT, S.A., Eurecat – Centro Tecnológico de Catalunya, Capgemini Automotive; PTV Group, IDIADA AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY, S.A., Albertis CORP & Vodafone); we had a special guest, who moved the car only with his eyes and mouth. The track was also open for a test drive during the three days of the event. In the meantime, future journalists from Escola Thau Barcelona interviewed speakers and participants and the team of TV3 Group (the official Catalan TV) streamed our event online.
